Itinerary

Cusco city tour – Where Inca stonework meets colonial history
  • Qoricancha – The Golden Temple of the Sun: Our experience begins with a visit to Qoricancha, considered the most important temple of the Inca Empire. This sacred complex was dedicated to Inti, the Sun god, and its walls were once covered with sheets of gold that reflected the power and grandeur of the Tahuantinsuyo. Here, we will appreciate the remarkable precision of Inca architecture and the contrast with the colonial structures that were later built upon it.
  • Sacsayhuamán – The Monumental Fortress: We continue to Sacsayhuamán, one of the most impressive examples of engineering in the ancient world. Its enormous stone blocks, fitted together with astonishing precision, continue to amaze visitors and researchers alike. From this site, we can also enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the city of Cusco.
  • Qenqo – The Ceremonial Center: Our journey continues to Qenqo, a site dedicated to ceremonies and rituals connected to the Andean worldview. Its passages, carved directly into the natural rock, reveal the spiritual importance this place held for the ancient inhabitants of Cusco.
  • Puka Pukara – The Red Fortress: We will then visit Puka Pukara, an ancient control and resting center used by Inca travelers and authorities. Its strategically located structures allowed them to monitor the roads and provide protection for those traveling toward the main ceremonial centers.
  • Tambomachay – The Temple of Water: We will conclude the tour at Tambomachay, a site associated with the worship of water, a sacred element within Andean culture. Its fountains and channels continue to flow to this day, demonstrating the advanced hydraulic knowledge of the Incas while offering a peaceful natural setting.
