Prepayment Policy
At ANDEAN ROUTES PERÚ, certain tours and travel services require a prepayment to secure the reservation. This policy explains how prepayments are handled and the conditions that apply.
1. Purpose of the Prepayment
A prepayment may be required to secure services that involve advance arrangements, limited availability, or payments to third-party providers.
Depending on the service, the prepayment may be used to secure:
- Tour availability
- Entrance tickets
- Train tickets
- Transportation
- Accommodation
- Flights
- Guides
- Other services included in the reservation
The amount required may vary depending on the tour, travel date, number of travelers, and services included.
2. Prepayment Amount
The required prepayment amount will be communicated to the traveler before the reservation is confirmed.
The remaining balance, if applicable, will be clearly indicated together with the payment deadline.
Different services may have different prepayment requirements due to the conditions imposed by suppliers and operators.
3. Reservation Confirmation
When a prepayment is required, the reservation will only be considered confirmed once:
- Availability has been verified;
- The traveler has agreed to the applicable conditions; and
- The required prepayment has been received and verified by ANDEAN ROUTES PERÚ.
A quotation or payment instruction does not constitute a confirmed reservation until the payment has been verified.
4. Remaining Balance
If the reservation requires a remaining balance, the traveler will be informed of:
- The amount pending
- The payment deadline
- The accepted payment methods
- Any specific conditions applicable to the service
The traveler is responsible for completing the remaining payment within the established deadline.
Failure to pay the remaining balance on time may result in the cancellation of the reservation or the loss of services that were subject to limited availability.
5. Payment Methods
Available payment methods will be communicated to the traveler at the time of booking.
Depending on the service and payment method, transaction fees or additional charges may apply. Any applicable additional cost will be communicated before payment.
6. Currency
Prices and prepayment amounts will be stated in the currency indicated in the quotation or reservation confirmation.
If a traveler makes a payment in a different currency, the final amount may vary depending on the exchange rate and the payment provider’s conditions.
7. Proof of Payment
Travelers should retain their payment receipt or transaction confirmation until the end of their trip.
ANDEAN ROUTES PERÚ may request proof of payment when necessary to verify a transaction.
A reservation is not considered paid until the corresponding payment has been successfully received and verified.
8. Prepayments for Third-Party Services
When a prepayment is used to secure services provided by third parties, such as train companies, hotels, airlines, or entrance-ticket operators, the applicable conditions of those providers may also apply.
Some third-party services may be non-refundable or subject to specific cancellation and modification conditions.
These conditions will be communicated to the traveler when relevant to the reservation.
9. Changes After Prepayment
If a traveler requests a change after making a prepayment, ANDEAN ROUTES PERÚ will review the request according to availability and the conditions applicable to the service.
Additional charges, fare differences, administrative fees, or penalties may apply depending on the requested change and the conditions imposed by third-party providers.
A prepayment does not automatically guarantee that a reservation can be modified without additional costs.
10. Cancellation and Refunds
The treatment of a prepayment in the event of cancellation will depend on the applicable Cancellation and Refund Policy, as well as the specific conditions of the services included in the reservation.
Where third-party providers impose non-refundable conditions, the corresponding portion of the prepayment may not be refundable.
Any applicable refund will be processed according to the conditions communicated to the traveler.
11. Non-Payment of the Balance
If the traveler does not complete the required balance within the established deadline, ANDEAN ROUTES PERÚ may cancel the reservation after notifying the traveler.
Any amount retained or refunded in such circumstances will depend on the applicable cancellation conditions and the policies of the suppliers involved.
12. Acceptance of the Prepayment Policy
By making a prepayment to ANDEAN ROUTES PERÚ, the traveler acknowledges that they have read and accepted this Prepayment Policy, together with the applicable Terms and Conditions, Reservation Policy, and Cancellation and Refund Policy.
